Burned out by social media, no ad budget and your list deflating like a slow-puncture tire?
No problem!
Here’s five ways you can find more subscribers without another Facebook post.
Added bonus: put together a simple landing page that you can link to in your signature and on social media. You can easily measure how successful each channel is (social word of mouth v SEO) using this method.
2. Go outdoors
It’s the summer time and people try to spend less time on the phones or indoors. If you run a local business, it’s a great time to use flyers, business cards or even QR codes on your car.
When time is less pressured and you are interested in more face to face marketing, consider hosting a pop-up place, give a talk or arrange a community day. You can find more ideas in this LinkedIn article.
3. Find blogs and podcasts
Discover ones that your audience listens to and apply to be a guest speaker (or writer). The trade -off is a sign-up link to your list with it’s lead magnet.
Micro influencers are banding together to create bundles of tools and information that allows them to get in front of a wider audience. The key is that everyone promotes the bundle, cross-pollinating everyone’s list. Ask around in your business groups and network to see if anyone is doing one, or interested in working on one with you.
Digital scratch coupons, webinar bingo or a website scavenger hunt are great ways to get people’s interest and get them signed up. Again, you can spread this idea by partnering with other people, so the scavenger hunt takes place over several websites or else you can build an app that allows people to play on their phones in real life (build it for free in Canva).
Most of the business owners I work with are doing enough - great brand, great offer and great service - but they just need to reuse what they already have or think creatively to cut through the noise to their audience. Your best bet is to steal an idea from another industry that you enjoyed reading or watching, and apply it to your own.
