Protect Your Headspace: the WOO that actually works.

Practical results from mental practices

Let's talk about something that might sound a little "woo-woo" at first, but is actually the secret weapon of multi-millionaire salesmen and seven-figure business owners.

Energy.

That's right. Not SEO. Not email cadence. Not A/B testing.

Energy.

Those mega-successful people I talk to—the ones doing $1M+ per month? They guard their mental energy like a dragon on its hoard. And for good reason: your audience can feel your enthusiasm (or lack of it) through every single piece of content you create.

After all: if you're not excited about your own stuff, why should anyone else be?

The Wednesday Afternoon Slump: We've All Been There

It's 2 PM on a Wednesday. You've just had lunch. You want to nap, scroll on the phone - hey, is that bird outside your window? You've promised yourself you'll write that newsletter today, but right now, you're feeling...

"Ugh, just ugh."

Your posture changes. Your voice changes. Your entire being radiates "I'd rather be doing anything than this.”

We've ALL been there. But here's what separates the masters from the mediocre: they know how to snap out of it.

Is It Mental or Physical? Your Energy Troubleshooting Guide

Before you can fix your energy, you need to diagnose the problem. Is it coming from your brain, your body or both? Let's break it down:

If It's Mental: 3 Ways to Reboot Your Brain

1. Play Your Greatest Hits

You ARE keeping a folder of testimonials, right? Those lovely messages where clients tell you you're a genius? If not, you need to start one.

When your energy dips, revisit these testimonials. Listen to your client recordings, check out those meetings minutes. As you recall these moments, your brain starts firing those same excited neurons again. You’re ready to roll!

2. Play Devil's Advocate

Nothing gets the blood pumping like a good argument (even if it's with yourself). Challenge your own solutions:

"Why do I need SEO? Why do I need email marketing? Why would anyone need my service?"

Then demolish those arguments with fiery enthusiasm. Ten minutes of this kickstarts your passion faster than an espresso (which also helps). I’ve done this and walked away with three more product ideas.

3. Get Laser-Focused on ONE Problem

Sometimes the issue isn't lack of enthusiasm—it's overwhelm. Stop thinking, "I have to write a newsletter" (boring), and instead think:

"I'm going to solve this ONE question for 5,000 people. I'm going to wipe away their anxiety about….!"

Suddenly, you're not churning out content; you're being a hero. And heroes don't slouch at their desks.

If It's Physical: 4 Body Hacks for Instant Energy

1. Get Up!

Seriously, stand up RIGHT NOW. If you've been sitting for more than 40 minutes, your body is getting sluggish. Your circulation is slowing down. You might be cold or sleepy, like a lizard in need of a heat lamp.

However, since we are humans rather than reptiles, we can easily sort this out. Move that body and generate some energy.

2. Crank the Tunes

Put on "We Will Rock You" or whatever gets your blood pumping. Dance around like a complete idiot for two minutes. (If you work in an office, put on your headphones in the bathroom). Feel silly? Good! That's the point!

Once that grin is back on your face, you can start that email.

3. Water, water everywhere….

We often mistake dehydration for fatigue. I've seen my productivity SKYROCKET just by putting a water reminder on my phone  - a cup an hour.

Try it. It’s easy, free and fast to do.

4. Take a Power Nap (No, Seriously)

A 20-minute power nap can reset your entire system. Yes, it might feel indulgent. Yes, your inner workaholic will scream in protest. But ask yourself:

What's the point of putting "half-assed work out there that's not going to sell" when after a 20-minute nap, you could produce something twice as good in half the time?

If you can't sleep during the day, try meditation instead. Just four breaths in, four breaths out can make a world of difference.

Guard Against: Business Burnout

There's one more energy problem we need to address, especially if you're just starting out or levelling up your business: burnout.

Small entrepreneurs frequently burn out because there's simply TOO MUCH for one person to do. Knowing when to ask for help—or when to buy help—is crucial. (Stay tuned for my next blog where I'll address this in depth!)

Final Thoughts: Better Energy, Bigger Marketing

When you raise your energy, you raise your game. That excitement translates into everything you create—your emails, your landing pages and your presentations. You’ll find yourself taking bets on ideas you’d never contemplate in the past or reaching out to people on the basis of “why not?”

So next time you're feeling sluggish before tackling your marketing tasks, don't just power through. Take a moment to determine if it's a mental or physical issue, then apply the energy fix.

Because you're not just shouting into the void—you're connecting to your next customer. And that's worth getting excited about!

Remember: You are amazing. You've done this before, and you'll do it again—only better this time. Now go conquer the world!

P.S. Don't forget to hydrate!
