Your Emails Feel Off. Here’s Why.

Written by Natalie | August 01, 2025

Ever finished an email - and it feels flat. Or worse; you send it and the results are flat?

I've been there, done that and got the T-shirt.

Your emails fail when they look pretty, but they don't connect. They read like someone whsipering into the microphone whilst ignoring the audience. You're playing it too safe. And worse - you're writing for The Blob.

The Blob is that faceless, names mass of email addresses. It's not human and doesn't speak to their needs, frustrations or desires.

When you send a Blob email, you typically focus on your product or offer - it's features, benefits and performance. Unfortunately, you forgot about the human who has to buy it. Before they pull out the credit card, they need to justify the expense emotionally.

"Is it worth it? Will it help me? Do I trust you to deliver?"

If you miss these concerns, people skim and unsubscribe.

My trick to skip the overwhelm...

You can't blob your emails, but you can't write 1:1 for thousands. Instead, you need to meet the middle ground where everyone in one group of people have the same questions and they're hungry for the same connection.

That's your goal - keep it small, simple and genuine.

When you write like to you talk, for just one person, it all snaps into focus.

Think about...
• Their real quirks
• Their pain
• What they laugh at
• When they read their email

Speak to their actual life (and yours).

Embrace imperfection

The email I’m turning into this blog… I wrote it in a cold sweat. It was last minute. Messy as hell.

It still got 53% opens and 6% clicks.

Why? Because I wrote for connection.

The great news is, you can too - or help your copywriter or VA to do the same. I created a simple 10-minute course that will help you connect the dots.

You also get the full breadcrumb trail (subject lines, titles, calls to action), that lead your reader by the hand to your sales page, website or video.

It's fast and easy to implement. One video, one strategy framework and my AI wizard to help you plan your next email.

In 10 minutes, you’ll feel better writing. Faster. Confident again.

You’ll know it works if your emails feel:

• Human, not hollow
• A little messy and honest.
• You find yourself writing (or talking!) enthusiastically to your readers.

It’s for you if you’re done with flat, salesy emails.

This isn’t one-size-fits-all marketing. It's writing that fits your business.

And yes, I suck at names. But  Little Killer Emails lives in your head. It sticks.

Are you ready?

Overhaul your mindset. Let go of perfection.

Start writing like you know someone’s watching. A real person.

Stop addressing The Blob.

Start writing emails that say: You matter.
